By using the AuroraVision website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the website.

2. Description of Service

AuroraVision provides real-time northern lights forecasts for Iceland and other aurora regions based on:

  • Solar wind data from NOAA
  • Geomagnetic activity (Kp Index)
  • Weather conditions and cloud cover
  • Your geographic location

The service is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.

3. Use of the Website

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use the website to:

  • View aurora forecasts
  • Find the best viewing spots
  • View weather data and geomagnetic data

3.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

  • Use the website for commercial purposes without permission
  • Copy or reproduce content without permission
  • Attempt to hack or disrupt the website
  • Use bots or automated scraping

4. Data Accuracy

Important: Aurora forecasts are based on scientific data but are not 100% accurate. Weather and other factors can change conditions.

We are not responsible for:

  • Incorrect forecasts
  • Lost trips or costs
  • Weather conditions

5. Third Party Services

We use data from:

  • NOAA: Public space weather data
  • Open-Meteo: Public weather data
  • Firebase: Google Cloud service

These services have their own terms and privacy policies.

Data from NOAA and Open-Meteo is public domain.

7. Limitation of Liability

THE WEBSITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY.

We are not liable for:

  • Service interruptions
  • Lost data
  • Indirect or direct damages

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately when published on the website.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Disputes shall be resolved in Icelandic courts.
