AuroraVision is an independent northern lights forecast service built in Iceland by IceVeflausnir. It combines real-time solar wind data from NOAA DSCOVR satellite measurements with location-specific cloud cover forecasts to produce a single Visibility Score (0β100%) that updates every 2 minutes.
The service provides live KP index, solar wind Bz/Bt, particle density, and cloud cover for aurora viewing locations across Iceland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Alaska, Yukon, and globally through iOS and Android apps.
AuroraVision is not affiliated with NOAA, the Icelandic Meteorological Office, or any government agency. It is an independent consumer service that interprets publicly available space weather data for general audiences.
The AuroraVision Visibility Score is a deterministic weighted formula β not a machine-learning model. The same inputs always produce the same score.
